"It is with deep grief that I learnt of the passing away of your husband, Prof. C.K. Prahalad.

Prof. Prahalad's brilliance was dazzling. He was widely acclaimed as one of the most influential management thinkers ever and his contribution to modern business theory and practice was invaluable. Professor Prahalad's bold and amazingly innovative ideas benefited companies around the world, including those in India. He was also a prolific writer, well known for many seminal works in the field of management.

I had the privilege of interacting with your husband on many occasions and his breathtaking intellect, his sensitivity, his unassuming personality and his sympathy for those at the bottom of the pyramid never failed to impress me. We will miss him as a very fine human being and someone who we could turn to for advice and guidance on many important matters.

In this hour of bereavement, please accept my heartfelt condolences. May God give you the strength to bear with your loss. I offer my deepest prayers for peace of the departed soul."
