PM condoles the death of Mallikarjunappa

The Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has expressed deep grief at the demise of Shri Gowder Mallikarjunappa, Member of Parliament from Karnataka.

In a message, Shri Vajpayee said that Shri Mallikarjunappa was a popular social and political worker and remained committed throughout his life to the well-being of agriculturists and other weaker sections of society.

Coming from a humble and ordinary agricultural background, he through his deep commitment of social service, dedication and hard work grew up and occupied high position and was regarded as an eminent and popular leader of BJP in Karnataka. In his death the country has lost a popular parliamentarian who made significant contribution particularly in the field of agriculture and rural industry.
