PM condoles death of Lt Gen K.P Candeth

The Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has expressed deep grief on the death of Lt Gen K.P. Candeth.

In his message the Prime Minister said that Lt Gen Candeth was a military strategist of the highest caliber who showed his brilliance as a leader of the Indian military operations for the liberation of Goa, and also played a key role during the 1971 war. Lt Gen Candeth will always be remembered for his valour, strategic thinking and commitment to upholding the nation’s honour, Shri Vajpayee added.
