Prime Minister condoles the death of Shri Balwant Gargi

The Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has condoled the death of noted author and playwright, Balwant Gargi, who passed away earlier this week.

In a condolence message, Shri Vajpayee said that Shri Balwant Gargi was a towering personality in the fields of theatre and literature, who left an indelible mark on his audience. He had an uncanny knack of transcending the barriers of language, culture and ethos and always struck the right emotional cord by touching upon relevant social and community-based issues. May his works continue to guide future generations in his chosen field, Shri Vajpayee added.
