1.5 KM long scroll presented to PM

A 1.5-kilometer long scroll of greetings was presented to the Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, here today. The greetings had been prepared in December last by the people of Tamil Nadu on the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday, but was formally presented to him today. About 10,000 people from all walks of life, including school children and youth have put their signatures in nine languages on the scroll to convey birthday greetings to the Prime Minister.

Minister of State for Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation, Shri Ponn. Radha Krishnan, Minister of State for Telecommunications and Information Technology Shri Thirunaukarasar, Shri C.P. Radha Krishnan, MP were among those present on the occasion.
