PM condemns Chennai bomb blasts

The Prime Minister has strongly condemned  the blasts that have taken place in Chennai this morning, leading to the loss of a precious life and injuries to many others.  Dr. Manmohan Singh said such barbaric acts targeting innocent men, women and children only highlight the desperation and cowardice of those responsible. 

The Prime Minister has offered his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and heartfelt sympathies to those injured. He said that he is confident that the people of India will stand united against these attempts to disturb peace and harmony and urged the people to maintain peace. The Prime Minister said no efforts should be spared to bring the perpetrators to justice and has said the Center will provide the State Government all assistance towards this.
