Prime Minister's message for Indian Cricket Team

The Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, handed over a Good Luck message for the Indian Cricket Team to Shri Vikram Verma, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, here today.

The message printed on a Cricket bat is addressed to the Indian Captain, Saurav Ganguly and the Indian team. In the message, the Prime Minister wished good luck and hoped that Indian team may emerge as a winner in the World Cup and bring laurels to the country.

Reiterating his sentiments, Shri Vikram Verma said: ~The Indian Team has done us proud. The whole country is waiting anxiously for the team to return. May India be victorious in the final and return with the World Cup~

Shri Vikram Verma said he will be representing the country and will take the message to the Indian Team. He will also be present at the World Cup Final in South Africa.
